Y’all, there are too many Korean skin care products to review, so I have to do them in rounds. Round 1 will cover the first five K-skin care product I purchased here in Korea.
If you don’t already know, I’m obsessed with Korean beauty brands! Before moving to Korea, I’m thankful to have lived in a city (Chicago) that houses one of my favorite K-beauty boutiques, Choc Choc Cosmetics. If you’re in Chicago, check them out!
Now that I live in Korea, where everyone is young-looking and beautiful AF, I’ve had to step up my skincare routine by 1000%.
Since moving here, I’ve purchased over 20+ k-beauty/skin care items, which may seem like a lot, but with my sensitive skin, I need to test out multiple products before finding the right one :(. Don’t worry; the products don’t go to waste. I always give them to my co-workers if they don’t work out haha.
Without further ado, here are the first five products I purchased in Korea!
1. Cosrx Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
If you’re going to purchase any Korean skin care products, you MUST include Cosrx Morning Gel Cleanser into your routine. If you’re not a morning person, this ‘ish will WAKE YOU UP, leaving your skin feeling clean and hydrated. If you have sensitive skin (like me), make sure to exfoliate gently and use your hands when applying this cleanser. I’ve tried an exfoliating brush, but it only irritated my skin.
Rating – 4.5/5

2. TONYMOLY Egg Pore Nose Pack
There are plenty of pore strip brands both in America and Korea, but these babies are the real deal! I’ve tried multiple Korean brands, and TONYMOLY’s Egg Pore Nose Packs are by far my favorite! They comfortably stick to my skin without leaving that annoying glue residue post-removal.
What makes this brand so unique is that it contains charcoal powder. Charcoal powder has many benefits, removing toxins, dirt, and other micro particles, improving skin complexion and acne. These nose packs will aid in removing dirt from your pores, making them look less visible!

3. Tony Lab Dr. Return ATO Cream
Note to self: Never buy a skin care product you are not familiar with ON SALE. I was in the market for a daily moisturizing and strengthening cream (for my face), so I decided to buy TONYMOLY’s Tony Lab Dr. Return ATO Cream. Before purchasing, I did some research online, and the reviews were quite good, plus, it was on sale, so I bought it!
In the first week of using this product, my skin broke out immediately. It didn’t help that the cream smelled like crap. I sometimes know when using new products your skin can get cray before it can heal, but this was out of control. The smell alone was enough to deter me from ever using this product again.
If for some reason you want to try this product after my review – This item is available at your local TONYMOLY store in Korea. For those living abroad, you can purchase this item online at TONYMOLY. Click the ‘purchase here’ button below:
4. TONYMOLY Lip Care Stick
TONYMOLY’s Lip Care Sticks are my FAVORITE chapsticks! To be honest, I only bought this stick because of the Pokémon packaging. However, I’m glad I made this “blind” purchase!
No joke, these care sticks are packed with moisturizing ingredients! I use my care stick about 1 -3 times a day depending on the elements and what lipstick I’m wearing that day. It has a smooth application with a delicious fruity scent. I can promise you won’t be disappointed in this product!
This care stick comes in three flavors, Honey Moister, Rose Blossom, and Mint Light. Unfortunately, the Pokémon edition is no longer available online, but feel free to check out your local TONYMOLY store, they may have some left!
5. Innisfree No-Sebum Moisture Powder
Innisfree Non-Sebum Moisture Powder is the only finishing powder you need!
Side note: [If a k-beauty product includes ingredients from Jeju, you should buy it! Jeju is an Island off the coast of South Korea, known for its gorgeous landscapes, local cuisine, and unique attractions. It’s similar to Cape Code or the South Hamptons in the US, but way cooler ;).]
This non-sebum moisture powder is made with Jeju natural minerals and mint. The minerals and mint will help balance out the oil and moisture in your skin, getting rid of that shiny Barbie doll-look no one likes. This powder will remove any excess oil from your face, leaving your skin feeling powdery fresh and baby smooth!
I hope this review was helpful! Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions.
Until next time 🙂
